If you want a live view of the photos below, you must first walk to the East end of the Kalyves beach to reach the small harbour. There you must turn 180 degrees to face Kalyves.

First you see this miniature Mediterranean view with Kalyves in the background. And if you start turning clockwise...

...your eyes will spot this beautifully rusty, old machine. We are convinced that it was abandoned there by an ancestor of "Operates All Major Machines" (Kaikkien Kaivinkoneiden Kuljettaja). The present "Operates All Major Machines" has earned his name for the obvious reason that when-ever and where-ever we see any big machinery working, our man from Kalyves is sure to be sitting in the cockpit.

But to continue on the full 180 degree tour, you must turn a bit more and move a bit...

...to the end of this construction made of natural stones to shield the harbour against the rage of the sea. Now you are also having a broader view of Kalyves.

...you'll be facing the rock named Karavos with Mount Drapanokefala looming in the background. Karavos hides the village of Almyrida, but on the slopes of the mountain you can see the villages Plaka, Kokkinochorio and Drapanos.
