From Feb. 7, 2007 till Feb. 16, 2007

Marke and Johan stayed on-and-off in our abode. Parts of the time they enjoyed Hania and Iraklion / Knossos.

The wind was from the south-west, or just plain from the south, so it was amazingly warm all the time.
No wonder we had to wipe the patio occasionally to remove the sand the winds had carried from the Sahara!

At times it also looked more like the coming of the Cretan winter...

...and then our special windchime had fun for itself.

On Thursday we rented a car. We drove first to the interesting Arts and Crafts Village near Souda. Finally the long longed-for ear-rings to Kiti (plus beautiful ceramics). Marke and Johan found a "ceramic boat" they wanted to take back home to Finland. A most enjoyable visit.

On Friday we drove to several near-by villages with Marke and Johan, to show them some of the nice surroundings. We had an ample luch in Vamos.

In the afternoon we drove our friends to the harbour in Souda, for them to catch a boat to Athens.
Farewell-time!
See you again back in Finland!

Milli, Marke's favourite, wishes you a safe journey by boat to Athens, and by plane to Helsinki, and then by car to Kaarina.
