Tuesday Jan. 17 - Kalyves.

CLEAR ELECTRIC SKIES.

These skies would be most welcome after a long period of otherwise electric skies. (See link 44 as a reminder!)

Here the inspiration comes once again from Leonard Cohen. If you look closely, you can see "a bird on a wire".

Milli's New Coat.

Milli received a tailor made coat today from Finland! Some of you may think this is dog-owner-nonsense of the worst kind. Those of you are utterly wrong! Milli has now warm protection against the problems with her back that may be aggravated by the cold and damp weathers, and especially by the cold-cold floors inside the house and on the veranda. Now Milli can enjoy more! - And it's true that Milli looks quite cute in the new coat :)

In the evening we had a very tasty dinner in ICARUS (on the beach of Kalyves) with the owners, Michelle and Michalis, participating in very lively conversations with us about philosophy of life, ways of making tasty food, and life in general! More than enjoyable!

The weather aftercast for today and tonight in Kalyves:
A cloudy morning with some rain. Towards the afternoon some sunshine and clearer skies (thanks to Kiti having a glass of the magic drink, retsina, on the veranda). Overall a very chilly day, but otherwise not so bad. The air-flow is rather from the north. A starry night coming - meaning that the +1°C on the beach of Kalyves at 22 p.m. may mean a very cold night!

Today's high +14.5°C. Tonight's low +1.7°C around our house that is shielded by a high hill and located quite far from the sea.
