Malbec is here to stay! So, it's no miracle that the skilled Argentine winemakers want to improve their wines even further. Combine the old faithful, merlot, to the wine, and a whole universe of new nuances opens up.
The excellent skills of 'the beautiful vinyard', Finca La Linda, are present in allowing malbec to lead, and giving merlot a chance to create a velvety softness only so far that we have a widebodied, amply tasting wine for juicy, spiced beef. And a wine to be had just by itself when you appreciate a dearing balance between acids and rich grape fruit in a wine with a long finish, pleasures to your nose, and just plain courage.
South America is worth constant surveillance. Perhaps the most innovative and the boldest wine experiences today are born there. And you don't need to enjoy them via your bank's loan department. Finca La Linda is an excellent example of the kind of quality for which one 'should', but fortunately doesn't have to, pay more. "The sun is shining into my heart, too."
